Programmers for Seniors

To live pleasant autumn of life, meet interesting people, to be able to share their experience, sorrows and joys – that is desire of us all. That is why we have tried to create space where seniors could meet and talk about the themes that are of interest to them as well as they could educate themselves. That was the reason for the project The Third Age Academy created with the help of the Retirees Association in Piešťany. It is widely known the Piešťany seniors were among the first who managed the work with internet; they have started with it at Piešťany Town Library. They regularly attend the lectures with interesting topics from Slovak history, about regional personalities, healthy life style, and hospice care as well as lectures by psychologists, social workers, police and personalities from the world of literature.
