The visually impaired have, as a result of reduced or no optical channel throughput, a significantly reduced or completely blocked reception of visual information. These impaired individuals have special needs when it comes to education, movement, spatial orientation, writing, and self-dependence as well as with the transmission and conversion of new knowledge acquired through visually observed information.
During work and library services we often use sound recordings, which are an appropriate means of communication with the visually impaired and the blind. At the same time, we also prepare events, where both disabled and healthy inhabitants can gain greater insight into the world of the blind – a world in darkness.
