During November 2015, in cooperation with BIBIANA, the International House of Art for Children, we organized an exhibition presenting the works of the holders of the two highest awards from the Bratislava Illustration Biennial (Grand Prix BIB and the Zlaté jablko (Golden Apple BIB) from a fifty-year retrospective of this international event. This competitive exhibition of original illustrations of children's books is held every odd year in Bratislava under the auspices of UNESCO and the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). Visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to become familiar with almost 150 richly illustrated books for children and youth from 36 countries around the world, all of which come from the book collection of the BIBIANA library in Bratislava. The book collection was accompanied by a series of book illustrations, for which the artists received the prestigious Grand Prix award. The exhibition also presented a variety of illustrative, graphic, and publishing techniques and methods used in the creation of children's books around the world.
