For almost 20 years the Piešťany Library has cooperated with the Buvik printing house, which focuses on printing books for young children and beginning readers. In 2012, in honour of the printing houses’ milestone anniversary, a book exhibition of its releases was held within the premises of the library. Through this exhibition, children could get better acquainted with the varied selection of books filled with fairytales, poems, riddles, and rhymes as well as with books designed specifically for first graders and books which have won awards at the Most Beautiful Books in Slovakia competition. The exhibition also had some accompanying events – a creative workshop, listening to fairytales and theatrical performances, Overall more than 1,600 visitors took part in the event.
