It is a tradition for our library to prepare a yearly gathering of library workers from libraries all over Slovakia to join us for seminars which include professional lectures, discussions and the mutual exchange of experience from various areas of library work. In addition to representatives from Slovak libraries, also taking part in the seminars are experienced librarians from abroad for example: Dr. Hans Lettner, director of the Salzburg Town Library as well as representatives from the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), foreign spa guests and others. In 2004, the library also took advantage of an offer by the Jiří Mahen Library in Brno. The seminar organized by this renowned Czech library was focused on working with various disabled or handicapped library visitors. During this seminar, our library presented activities designed especially for this group of people.
