The book by F. E. Scherer describes the Piešťany hot springs and spas, their effect and impact onto the human health. The book is in the German and Slovak language.

The book is Ľudovít Winter’s absorbing recollection about the beginnings of the Piešťany Spa development. Ľudovít Winter was the holder of the Spa first lease signed with him by the Spa owners, the Erdődy family.

Ethnographic publication with humorous stories, traditions and customs, descriptions of field work from January till December in Piešťany of the past. 

It describes the short history and coat-of-arms of the villages and towns in the Piešťany County. There is full colour annex with individual coat-of-arms in the book.

The author Ľubomír Mrňa presents individual building landmarks of the spa town in chronological order.

History of the village Hubina is described in detail from 1353 till 2003. You find here information about the activities of the fireman association, amateur theatre or the village personalities, and how it was to live and work in Hubina in the 30´s of the last century.

PIEŠŤANY V PREMENÁCH VEKOV

Monografia zameraná na históriu kúpeľného mesta, pričom hlavný dôraz sa kladie na dejiny a rozvoj kúpeľov. Autor Ján Šípoš oboznamuje čitateľov s históriou Piešťan od prvých dotykov človeka s horúcimi prameňmi až po komplexne chápanú liečebnú starostlivosť nedávnych rokov. Publikácia bola vydaná v roku 1992 a momentálne je vypredaná.
