In March 2014, within the premises of the library, a joint exhibition of two artists – the well-known Slovak illustrator Peter Uchnar and his wife the Japanese illustrator Nana Fyriya – took place. At the exhibition they presented their illustrated works from children’s books. A creative workshop with both artists was also part of the exhibition’s opening ceremony, in which children from Piešťany’s Elementary Art School created characters living in a fairytale land, which the artists had painted for them as a backdrop.
