Child Friendly City
The Piešťany Town Library has a long standing, well-developed cooperation, in the area of culture, with its partner town Heinola. One of the tools supporting the exchange of cultural values is the international art competition “Piešťany / Heinola Through the Eyes of Children“, which the library organizes, every two years, in conjunction with the Town of Piešťany, and the Town Library in Heinola. The goal is to bring the inhabitants of the two partner cities closer through the perspective of children, who, in their artwork, portray the natural beauties, cultural landmarks, and various events from their town. The result of the competition is a travelling exhibition of the winning works of art, which are also used as the basis for making a calendar for the following year.
