Originally it was built as a sanatorium, currently it serves as headquarters of Piestany hospital and a blood - transfusion centre. The modest marble plaque on the building´s north - eastern facade says it was built in 1912 to a design by the architects H. Böhm and Á. Hegedüs. Stone, concrete, bricks, plaster, glass, wood and metals are materials used on the building ´s facades. The style of its exterior indicates transition from Art noveau to individualistic modernism.
