Regional and Reference Library

The Section for Adults also includes a reference library, which offers readers selected literature from individual scientific and scholastic disciplines – encyclopaedias, monographs, dictionaries, collections of laws, and many rare publications. One part of this section consists of a Regional Guide, which contains a variety of documents - publications, annual ledgers, almanacs, brochures, and other material about Piešťany and the surrounding region. All of these written documents provide our readers with information about the life of the region, its history, cultural and sporting events, natural attractions, as well as its social life and also better acquaints them with the life and work of important regional figures and personalities. Also available to the reader is a collection of regional periodicals - the weekly “Piešťany Week”, the cultural-social quarterly “Revue Piešťany”, and other magazines. The reference library collection and regional guides are available for visitors to borrow on the premises or, in certain cases, to check out for a period of 24 hours, with a charge according the service rates. The Reference Library is also equipped with a rest area for studying and Wi-Fi connection.
